The connection between "Alice and Wonderland" and math is a great example of how the nature of science and art coexist. It goes to show that teaching children math in a different creative way such as "Alice and Wonderland" helps them learn better. I also thought it interesting how the creative side and the logical side need each other, and it's actually not good to have too much of one, but to have a healthy balance of both.
I thought the podcast was very interesting of how it discussed how the brain works when one is being creative especially with the example of music. This was definitely a point that I related to because I never realized that one part of my brain is becoming extremely heightened in terms of activity if I’m adding my own interpretation to the music. I also thought that the podcast was interesting in the sense of how constraints on creativity can actually make you more creative and how you need a balance of arts and math to develop a high level of thinking.
I was very encouraged to watch the video, It is truly exhilarating to see well educated people give such an importance to the arts. Since it was men who spoke in the video, I was happy to see the gender constraint placed on art as being a girls hobby, irradiated. I also was awestruck by the detriments placed on a student without the influence of the arts and its importance in both history and today.
